Today is Day 1 of our 30 Day's of clean eating. It's something I love to do, and do annually with several of my clients and many of my team. I've always had great results, and am excited to jump in with both feet (well..1 foot and 3/4).
Morning off to a strong caffeinated start, had coffee with my parents as we always do. Instead of my toast, butter and jam, I had hot cereal, It's swapped out for my grain later in the day, and I'm planning on a Protein shake/or our Fruit Protein bar for lunch. Fizzy tab and tea in hand right now... and a bit of paperwork staring at me. I'm set for the day.
Cutting the coffee out i can feel is going to be the most challenging piece. I rarely have alcohol, so that will be easy, and we normally eat pretty balanced(ish). It's about replacing slightly bad habits with slightly better... and having some fun with the accountability of it all. :-) #30dayswithdi
The self care piece of this is just as important as the food, drink and exercise. Today I'm going to take the time to do a guided meditation, and fill my cup with some 2016 goal setting. For the last 2 years I have had a detailed "Authentic Map of Me" that I create at the beginning of each year. It's amazing how putting pen to paper helps to keep you accountable in the best possible way.
Have I mentioned that today is the first day the kids are back to school!!! YAY!!! Yes it was wonderful having them home, and our holidays seemed to flow surprisingly effortlessly, but to have my house all to myself for a few hours today is indeed bliss. :-)
